Sea ChestA new concept, successfully tested and delivered on time. This was the first of our housings to be made from Rigid Polyurethane, the contract was for seventeen boxes to be used in an Upending Control Center, the equipment inside them aided the installation of a 'Jacket' (the underwater structure supporting an Oil rig) sited in the Caspian Sea.Because these housings were the first of their kind, it was decided to have a test to destruction. The test housing imploded at a pressure of fifty eight bar, confirming our calculations and well above the seven bar working pressure. The design also had to cope with wave slap and for this reason the boxes are bolted behind the flange making them extremely secure. |

Battery BoxThe Battery Box was designed to accomodate large batteries although it is now commonly used with a clear lid to house Video Equipment, Lights or other equipment that just needs a visual inspection. | ![]() |
Snap Shot HousingThis was very much a custom design with the emphasis on the housing being small, light and compact.Evolving through prototypes, the finished design provided new functionality and has since evolved through several more prototypes into a housing that we have made in some significant quantities. | ![]() |
Plate BoxThis style of housing is usually fabricated from plate and covers rectangular metal housings that are above 100mm or 4" deep, at this point it can become in-practical to machine from solid. The advantages are:

Battery HousingThis housing is an underwater power supply developed by Sealed Enclosures for use by divers. It can easily be clipped on a belt or strapped with Velcro to the leg or arm. The batteries it takes are a standard D size that are easily available, with up to ten batteries fitted, 12 volts can be assured. A Subconn connector is incorporated into the body for plugging in lights etc, for safety the housing has a fuse that automatically resets and a relief valve in case gases are given off by the batteries. |

FlurotrackerFor this revolutionary new product Sealed Enclosures designed tested and supplied, two conventional aluminum cylinders coupled together with a water cut aluminium bracket, this allowed adjustment of their relative angular position as well as providing a carrying handle. | |
Sea Chest - Junction BoxesThis was the latest order for our Sea Chest Housing. This customer has used almost 100 of these housings now for Junction Boxes on their Oil Rigs. In this application the boxes are 'topside' but there is a posibibity they could become submerged and in this instance there must not be any leaks into the electrical systems. The boxes are tested with the glands fitted, thus ensuring that immersion in water is not a serious electrical problem, and essential services can be maintained. | ![]() |
